They fell in love and were married in the U.S. in 2015. She spent 10+ years working in Washington, DC and had a small, but successful, cut flower garden in her backyard. With the move to Ontario, she finally had enough land/space (and time) to build Meadowlark. Soon after the move, she met a new friend, Gillian, who has strong ties to the Durham agricultural community (and a shared love of flowers!).
